Off to Missouri

I haven't been able to post recently because my laptop is out of commission. It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I'm able to post like I want to. In the meantime, I can make brief posts using my phone. I'm writing from the Philly airport. I'm on my way to Rolla, Missouri where I have the privilege of lecturing about Christianity at a secular university on Friday evening. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

grace and peace,
shai

Father,

It is in the name of your Son - our King, the blessed Redeemer of those you've given Him- that I pray. I ask you Father to give shai traveling grace both to and from the speaking engagement. Give him the courage to speak your Word among those who do not know you. I pray that the seeds planted on good soil while he's there, would be watered by another one of your servants and that ultimately you will provide the increase in adding to your church.

Lord fill shai with your Spirit, that he might have power as your witness. I pray that shai would speak humbly and with gentleness, while communicating the absolute truth of your Word.

Get glory for yourself Lord. May Your will be done and not ours.

Amen.

Shai, I really appreciate what you're doing man. Your stand for the truth of God's word stands out; you're making Jesus famous! If I don't get to meet you on this side of eternity, then I'll catch you in New Jerusalem. For real.
Keep shoutin the gospel into our culture; it's the greatest story!

I have friends in Rolla and I'll pray for your work down there.

much love,
Cole

My brother Shai,

I'm praying for you. My prayer is that God will fill you with the power of the Holy Spirit, equipping you for service to His glory in a potentially hostile environment.

I've asked the Father to supernaturally enable you to faithfully explain Christianity as revealed in Scripture, and that the hearers in union with Adam will be confronted with their guilt and condemnation before God the Terrible Judge. Only in that state, by grace alone, may the finished work of Christ be embraced by faith as the only hope of salvation...

Grace and Peace!

I heard a sermon the other day I'm pretty sure was yours. It was on the sovereignty of God. Dude, it was awesome, more like a lecture than a sermon, and I mean that in the best of ways.

Thanks to you, and much to the chagrin of some of my friends, quoting psalm 115:3"Our God is in the heavens. He does whatever pleases him." has become part of my everyday vocab.

I just wanted to tell you I appreciate all of your work, and think it's timely and fresh.

You're killing it man, keep it up!

Thank you all for your prayers! The event went very well. My topic was "The Christian Response to Pluralism" I had an opportunity to explain worldviews in general and the unique claims of Jesus Christ in particular. I knew that I was on the right track when some people walked out mid-lecture. There was an opportunity for questions at the end of the lecture as well. I also performed at a concert the following night. That also went well. Again, I appreciate your prayers and encouragement and I will be sure to update you as I continue to travel.

grace and peace,
shai

I came across your song "Mission Accomplished" by providential accident, and loved it. I am a fan of Country Western and Counry Gospel music with no prior liking of rap or hip hop. I still don't know the difference, but I was moved. I went to you blog and loved it, I have added it to my blog and shared your video. You have given me a new vehicle to consider and yes appreciate. Thanks! Thanks for you blog. Can't wait to you post again.
