My New CD- The Atonement

Most of you who are familiar with this blog probably know that I've had two new albums in the works for some time. One of them is about to be released. It's called The Atonement and it comes out on Feb. 12th. You can pre-order it now if you'd like to receive it before the 12th. For more info, see http://www.lampmode.com/

I've also posted links for the lyrics to the songs from The Atonement on this blog. I'm working on posting the lyrics to my first album, The Solus Christus Project, as well. Feel free to post any comments or questions about the album or lyrics here.

grace and peace,
shai

shai, this album looks to be truly edifying. The other day, I was talking to a guy who wanted to become a Christian and I realized that I had been preaching an 'assumed cross'. I have to start forcing myself to start focusing on the cross more often.

I heard you when you came to Bethlehem last month. The image of Pastor John's head bobbing along to your music is unforgettable. Brother your "lyrical theology" is anointed. Every time I listen to Atonement I have a new favorite song. Grace to you! May Jesus send you into the heart of darkness with the light of the knowledge of the Glory of God!!!!

so, i don't normally enjoy rap music (or comment on stranger's blogs) but i really enjoyed this. it has a message we all need to hear, repeatedly. thankful the Lord blesses us each uniquely to bless others uniquely.

Shai,

My name is Matt and I'm a pastor out in Southern Cal. Bro, your album is AWESOME and fills me with "triune praise" every time I listen. My little boy is already singing, "________ ...is dead, however, Jesus is alive! He's alive, y'all."

I thank God that I stumbled upon you and your work. You ever tour out west? I'd love to see/ meet you.

Peace.

matt

Shai,
Thank you so much for all the work that you put into making this album! I have been so encouraged by it! My husband and I were just talking about how God has used The Atonement to remind us of the cross. I was listening to "Were You There?" the other day in the car, and it brought tears to my eyes as I reflected on my salvation! Crazy that a "holy hip-hop" album could reach this soccer-mom-type while driving the kids around! Even our 3 boys, all under 3, LOVE your music, and are always asking for it! Thank you for your commitment to truth, and for using your God-given talent for his glory!

Hi shai!

I just want to say "thanks" for all your work on "The Atonement." I found out about the album from a couple of the blogs I read, ordered one, and think it is the best album I have listened to in years! This is coming from a 44 year old guy who lives in South Jersey! May God richly bless your ministry and always keep you focused on His great redeeming work on the cross.

Your brother in Christ,

Ralph

Hey shai,

Your CD 'The Atonement' has truly been a blessing to my life, and I hope God's gospel will reach many unbelievers through your music. I've never been a hip-hop fan, but I can't stop listening to your album. It's really helped me fix my attention on Christ's saving work, and as the songs get stuck in my head, so do thoughts of His suffering. I look forward to more work by you in he future.

God bless,

Taylor Fletcher

Fantastic album, Shai. I first heard you on the 13 Letters album and knew I just had to get your solo stuff.

I am a pastor in Southern Illinois (right where the earthquake hit this morning!) and I am actively trying to get more of our hillbillies to listen to you guys. Phenomenal. You are a real encouragement to me.

I can't wait to get those lyrics for the Solus Christus Project. I've been meaning to follow along with lyrics for awhile now. Thanks!

Shai,

What can I not say... You presented the Gospel very plain. You dove into expounding on the whole purpose of the cross and exposed mans depravity apart from Christ! God Bless you!!

Thank you all for your words of encouragement regarding the project. It's greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much.
I'm not your traditional hip-hop fan, being a 42 year old english white mum of 2! However, love this album so much, very convicting and uplifting too!

Shai!

What a great album! I heard of your music through Way of the Master Radio, and I am thoroughly impressed, not only with your preaching of the clear gospel, but also your no-compromise stance on Calvinism. Calvinism seems to be so rare in North America, but it is a systematic theological way of thinking about what the bible teaches that most glorifies God (does that make sense?).

It would be so cool if some day you could come out to Halifax, Nova Scotia and preach the gospel at the annual Busker's festival that we have every August (usually the first week of August). People from all over the world come to see the Buskers, and we set up and easel to do open air preaching there. But it would be cool to have some hip hop too!
